JOB DESCRIPTION:

Department: Procurement Division

Reports to: Procurement Department Manager

Functional Relationships with:

HQ Procurement Division, Procurement Division in ASEAN Region and Manufacturing Plants in Singapore.

Position Profile:
Based in Singapore, the Procurement Officer will support and expand HQ Procurement Administration functions to local and regional and regional procurement division. She/ He will also assist Singapore procurement division in market research and sourcing of vendors within ASEAN and China region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support HQ function to lead and implement the recommendations from category strategies by completing relevant procurement activity and participating in related projects and monitor contract performance to ensure that the benefits set out in the related category sourcing strategy are realized.
• Support HQ on the Regular Supplier Management Operations and Administrations of local and regional procurement divisions.
• Reviewing spend data and develop market knowledge / intelligence in specific categories to compile appropriate contract documentation ensuring contracts are developed, delivered and managed in line with regional needs and objectives.
• Facilitating, lead and support procurement meetings in respect of contracts/projects to support the aims and objectives of HQ.
• Working with appropriate stakeholders to ensure robust contract management and monitoring arrangements are implemented and maintained throughout the lifespan of the contract and to drive improvements and develop supplier relationships.
• Fostering good relationships with all relevant stakeholders at a local/regional level and identify opportunities to develop new or stronger partnerships.
• Utilizing Procurement systems to ensure a high level of accuracy of information is maintained.
• Maintaining records and ensure issues are escalated to managers promptly so that underperformance or concerns can be addressed.

ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration/Marketing, Supply Chain Management or Engineering)
• At least 3 years of procurement experience in preferably in Electronics component e.g. MLCC, Filters, and Batteries Company. Experience in Semiconductor Company, Original Equipment Manufacturer.
• Good mentoring skills and team player.
• Pro-active, strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Fluent English skills to liaise with ASEAN region procurement departments and suppliers.
• Positive attitude in challenging work environment.
• Good Presentation Skill.
• Able to travel and possibly attachment to overseas.
• Fluent in Japanese is an additional advantage.
