Job Purpose:

The Sonographer uses special equipment that depicts images of the inside of the human body. Those images are then displayed on a monitor and used by physicians to make diagnoses.

Job Authorities:

The Sonographer uses special equipment that portrays images of the inside of the human body and routine maintenance of equipment.

Job Duties:

• Provide on-site support during product demo and attend sales meeting with healthcare professionals (where necessary).
• Provide theoretical answers with regard to physics of ultrasound, image recording, artefacts and the relevance of image modalities to ultrasound.
• Provide technical advice on the basic principles and application of ultrasound scanning.
• To recommend optimum setting parameters, example scanner controls; focal length; display control for achieving good display of images for correct diagnostic interpretation.
• Perform common examinations safety and accurately upon request of a demo.
• Provide remote support on trouble-shooting types scans and/or clinical enquiry. E.g. Advise on settings, etc. via email or phone, review and comment of scan images.
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by immediate superior.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Cardiac Technology/Diagnostic Radiography or relevant Medical Science Studies from local polytechnics or Universities.
• Possess technical ability to understand how ultrasound equipment works and how to operate it efficiently. Also, be knowledgeable in making adjustments to the ultrasound equipment to produce the best images possible.
• Registered nurses with SNB license and certification in Cardiac Technology are welcomed to apply.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience as Sonographer is preferred.
• Possess good interpersonal skill and able to communicate well with physicians and nurses.
• Possess good planning and organizing skills.
• Service-oriented and customer focused.

Salary: $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 /month

Experience:

• Sonographer: 1 year (Preferred)
