Overview: Provides pre-sales technical engineering support including sales presentations, product demonstrations, solution development and price proposals to maximize revenue, earnings and customer satisfaction. The presales function also provides a single point of reference with regard to the technical design and specifications for the life of the project, and provides a smooth transition from the sales process into the deployment and maintenance phases. Demonstrates products and service value to customers based on customer needs.
Provides expert-level professional engineering expertise to deliver IT Enterprise solutions to our clients. Demonstrates outstanding leadership in emerging technologies. Directs the technical activities of other, less experienced team members. Proactively develops innovative solutions and programs to enhance business opportunities. Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients and internal account managers to develop and design integrated solutions from channel partner manufacturers, or other sources. Act as a key point of reference with regard to the technical design and specifications.
  • Provide expert and reliable consultation services relating to product or project implementations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • May deliver, or assist with, customer presentations and/or technical demonstrations on core products/services, advanced applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist sales force by providing: design and pricing specifications, drawings, and materials list (BOM). Contributes to the effective closing of large sales opportunities. May contribute to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Ensure technical feasibility and accuracy of each proposed solution within cost guidelines of the project. Provide solution development to maximize reliability/functionality of the proposed offering.
  • Interact with product managers or vendors as necessary to support product improvements (ie compatibility), innovations, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintains competency in established area(s) of expertise through vendor and industry training. Liaison with manufacturers regarding product or applications upgrades.
  • Gathers, and updates data pertaining to tools, resources, products, and applications on a regular basis.
  • Develops and applies technology for customers’ use.
  • Proactively develops innovative solutions and programs to enhance business opportunities. Provides active technical mentoring for the Sales and Delivery teams.
  • Interface with senior-level customer contacts, identify customer needs, add technical expertise to customer proposals, handle objections appropriately, and deliver successful sales presentations adding value through industry knowledge and insight. Personally follows through on customer inquiries and requests. Demonstrates responsiveness. Able to present highly technical topics included advanced products/applications and business solutions to large groups.

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in supporting Enterprise IT environments
  • Main OEM focus; Cisco/Meraki, Aruba, Ekahau, Silver Peak. Professional and Managed Services
  • Minimum one or two valid certifications in above OEMs
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
