SUMMARY

You will be part of the team that supports Procurement and Inventory for the Group. Majority of your responsibilities will involve managing a spectrum of procurement process for direct and indirect material, as well as maintaining inventory levels.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain stock levels of direct and indirect material
• Forecast stock levels based on demand and supply, and implement business procurement strategies for the Company to maintain cost efficiency
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers and carry out negotiations to ensure adequate contract cover within the value of spend
• Make sound procurement decisions by analysing trends and market movements, monitoring stock levels closely, and forecasted demand
• Prepare monthly reports of inventory and stock levels for management
• Respond to the sales team’s purchase order requests and request for quotations in short turnaround time
• Maintain accurate Purchase Order record in ERP system
• Ensure all certificates for direct material are accurate and well maintained
• Assist to manage inventory and supply chain management
• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and adjustments
• Troubleshoot discrepancies between stocks and records
• Assist in half yearly stock count and ensure proper identification of inventory
• Ensure all incoming goods are received correctly and in good condition

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management
• At least 2 years of related experience
• Experience in manufacturing or materials trading field is advantageous
• Good command of English and Mandarin skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing)

Key skills:

• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong IT skills, specifically Excel for reporting, Word & PowerPoint
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills
• Good listening, analytical and problem-solving skills

Personal Qualities:

• Proactive, driven and resilient
• Able to work independently and as part of cross-cultural team
• Meticulous, accurate and attention to detail
• Professional and calm
